Faculty of medicine in Košice has prepared thousands students for their future career – and in year 2016 there are new graduates who will share good reputation of this higher education institution worldwide. The graduation ceremony of former students took place in the Assembly hall of Faculty of Medicine, UPJS on June 30 and July 1, 2016. There were also graduates of English study programmes awarded with degree MUDr. (66 students, Medical Doctor) and MDDr. (6 graduates, Doctor of Dental Medicine).
Dean of the Faculty of Medicine in Košice, prof. MUDr. Daniel Pella, PhD. emphasized in his ceremonial speech that graduation ceremony day is one of the most beautiful day in students lives and they will remember it any day in their future professional lifes. He said: „You have managed the “fights” with professors, associate professors and assistants. What is waiting for you now will be much harder. During the exams your teachers sometimes only smiled a little bit, occasionally raised their voice, or rolled their eyes – but no patient never died during the exams. Real life of doctor is also the “life of his patients. You will live with them their pain, you will walk them out of the hospital fully recovered, but you will also experience moments of disappointment because medicine is not omnipotent. Profession of doctor and teacher is beautiful.“ emphasized Dean at graduation ceremony.
Becoming doctor is not only profession. It is life-time mission and dedication to job. We at MedHead wish all the best to all graduates – hope that their future career will bring joy not only to them, but also to their families.
