Slovak medical schools offer hundreds of places for international students to study programs in General medicine and Dental medicine. We are an official representative of 3 medical faculties in Slovakia that offer education in the English language with entrance exams starting in March 2024. You may take part in the entrance exam even if you have not finished high school yet. We will now take a look at dates when you might take the exams and deadlines for application:
The Faculty of Medicine in Bratislava, Comenius University
The Faculty of Medicine in Bratislava offers study programs in General medicine (6-year course, tuition fees 11.000€, 240 seats) and Dental medicine (6 years course, 35 seats, tuition fees 12.500€). The Faculty introduced simplified procedures for registering for the entrance exam. Applicants now have 3 possible dates to choose the date from. Applicants need to submit scans of your passport, secondary school leaving certificate (confirmation with expected date of graduation is accepted as well), proof of admission fee payment, and proof of vaccination against Hepatitis B in online portal. Nostrification needs to be submitted before enrollment in September.
The entrance exam has form of multiple choice exams with 4 options from Biology (100 questions) and Chemistry (100 questions). You may score a maximum of 4 points per question, respectively 800 points for the full exam. There are deductions for incorrect sub-answers. Students have 180 minutes to complete the test. Applicants with at least 440 points (out of 800 points) will be accepted. The level for admission might be lowered in case of free capacity.
The Faculty also organizes a free preparatory course for all applicants who submit the documents before the 17th of May 2024 any pay application fee of 95€. The course will last for 4 weeks with a structure of 3 hours of lectures and 1 hour dedicated to questions from databanks). Lectures will take place on the 18th of May 2024, the 25th of May, the 1st of June, and the 8th of June 2024.
Entrance exam dates for General medicine in Bratislava
Applicants can sit the exam on one of the following dates:
- 19th of March 2024 – The registration deadline is the 12th of February 2024
- 25th of June 2024 – The registration deadline is the 13th of May 2024
- 13th of August 2024 – registration deadline is 22nd of July 2024
The entrance exam has an online form and is performed by SCIO. The faculty offers also a databank with questions from biology (750 questions) and chemistry (750 questions). All questions will be selected from the databanks.
Entrance exams dates for Dental medicine in Bratislava
Applicants can sit the exam on one of the following dates:
- 20th of March 2024 – The registration deadline is the 12th of February 2024
- 26th of June 2024 – The registration deadline is the 13th of May 2024
- 14th of August 2024 – registration deadline is the 22th of July 2024
All questions for the exam will be selected from databases provided by the university.

Jessenius Faculty of Medicine in Martin, Comenius University
The Jessenius Faculty of Medicine is a popular choice among international students from all over the world. The Jessenius Faculty offers a program of General medicine in English (a 6-year program, 150 seats, tuition fees of 10.900€). The application procedure consists of 2 stages: submission of required documents (scan of passport, scan of secondary school leaving certificate, copy of fitness certificate, and 70€ application fee receipt). The exam has an online form and is performed in cooperation with the company SCIO. We provide sample questions and syllabuses from chemistry and biology.
The entrance exam has the form of a multiple choice test (four options with one correct answer) and consists of questions from Biology (40 questions) and Chemistry (40 questions). Students have 80 minutes to finish the test and they need to score approximately 32 points out of 80 to get accepted.
Due to the high interest from our applicants, we will introduce a preparatory course in Chemistry and Biology for the Jessenius Faculty of Medicine. The course has the form of online classes specially tailored according to the syllabuses of Jessenius Faculty of Medicine. As the Jessenius faculty does not provide a databank with questions, we are convinced that our course might be the best way to prepare to get accepted. Entrance exam dates for General medicine in Martin
Applicants can sit the entrance exam on one of the following dates:

- 12th of July 2024 (deadline for registration is 1st of July 2024)

the Faculty of Medicine in Kosice, University of Pavol Jozef Safarik
The Faculty of Medicine UPJS offers study programs in General medicine (6 years program, 210 seats, tuition fees will increase from the academic year 2024, the exact amount to be confirmed in April 2024) and Dental medicine (6 years program, 40 seats, tuition fees will increase from the academic year 2024, the exact amount to be confirmed in April 2024). Applicants must submit a copy of their passport, secondary school leaving certificate, receipt of the 30€ fee, medical certificate, and registration form for the given entrance exam.
The entrance exam has the form of a written onsite exam from biology (100 questions) and chemistry (100 questions). We can provide you with databanks of questions from biology (600 questions) and chemistry (600 questions). All questions used in the entry test come from these databanks. Students need to travel either to Kosice or to entrance examinations organised by agencies collaborating with the Faculty. We organize entrance exams in Krakow (24th of August 2024), Warsaw (31st of August 2024), and Budapest (the 7th of September 2024).
We do provide preparatory courses in the Polish language (in cooperation with Naukowcow dwoch) and in the English language (which will be ready in May 2024) where all questions are properly explained. If you wish to get accepted for this Faculty, we highly suggest you take part in our courses.
