The University does offer programs of General medicine and Dental medicine in the English language. The university is located in Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania. Study general medicine at the University of Vilnius
The program takes 6 years and contains 360 ECTS credits. The degree awarded is Medical doctor. Tuition fees are 11.000€ per one academic year (2 semesters). The degree is internationally recognized in the European Union and most countries of the world. The language of instruction is English.
Study dental medicine at the University of Vilnius
The program takes 5 years and contains 300 ECTS credits. Tuition fees are 12960€ per one year. There are small groups of students for better learning (usually 8-10 students in one group). The degree is recognised automatically in the European Union.
The admission process to University of Vilnius – Faculty of medicine
Students need to take either MCAT or SAT test. It is possible to take these tests in your home country or any country that organises the test. Results of the tests are valid only for 2 years. Application is open up to 1st of June. There is only one intake – September intake. Completion of Biology (or Natural Science/Science) course at the secondary education level is compulsory. Completion of either Physics, Mathematics or Chemistry course at the secondary education level is an advantage;

Monthly expenses in Vilnius
You can count with the following expenses: dormitory/flat rent 90-300 EUR, food 150-300 EUR learning aid 20-50 EUR and leisure 100-300 EUR per month. Students will get ISIC cards, that will get them various expenses in shops or for services.
Accommodation for international students in Vilnius
The University offers a place at dormitories, which is located close to the University campus. The fees are modest (87€ in double room, 58€ in triple room) and are equipped with a common kitchen, bathroom facilities (shared), laundry, bedding, and internet. There are also private Vilnius Appartments, that charge around 25-30€ per night and are offered mainly to short-term stays.
Transfers to Vilnius University
The Faculty of Medicine accepts transfer students strictly only to the 2nd and 3rd semester (not any later semesters).
